Scouting Dossier
PFF
Iheanachor, who only began playing football in 2021, is still developing and can be inconsistent technically. However, he possesses the physical tools of a starting-caliber offensive tackle, particularly in zone schemes.
Strengths
● Comfortably wears 325 pounds — big thighs, trunk and upper-body build
● Balanced athlete and moves well laterally to answer edge speed (Utah’s Logan Fano called him the best blocker he faced in 2025)
● Fast hands and functional length to find surface area and push rushers wide
● Made clear improvements using technique to adjust and get out of compromised spots
● Rangy mover, with fluidity on climbs and pulls to pick off defenders in space
● Developed play strength in run game
● Mellow and quiet off the field but has an edge on it (models game after Penei Sewell)
● Worked hard to develop body and mindset (NFL scout: “It’s not just the on-field development that’s encouraging. He learned how
to take hard coaching, how to be accountable with his rehab. He’s no imposter trying to pretend he’s a football player.”)
● Durable — finished his career with 28 straight starts
Weaknesses
● Raw — inexperience is obvious on tape
● Needs to be more aware of unlocking leverage at point of attack
● Upright drive blocker, which hinders ability to uproot anchored defenders
● Okay anchor in pass sets but requires a beat to recover
● Strike accuracy in pass pro is all over the place
● Underdeveloped processing — can be drawn out of position on stunts and games
● Played through damaged labrum in 2024 and underwent shoulder surgery after season, which sidelined him for 2025 spring
practices
● Right tackle only at ASU (and only repped at right tackle during Senior Bowl week)
Projection
A starter for two-and-a-half years at Arizona State, Iheanachor lined up at right tackle in offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo’s gap
scheme. After he started playing football in the summer of 2021, the Nigerian native ascended quickly at the juco level before becoming
a starter for the Sun Devils. He made clear improvements each of the past three seasons and played his best ball as a senior (zero sacks
allowed). He was also one of the standouts during Senior Bowl week.
With his proportionate thickness and movement skills, Iheanachor passes the eye test with flying colors. Having grown up playing
soccer and basketball, he has fluid footwork and body control in his pass sets, although he can do a better job governing his quickness to
avoid spacing issues. The lack of polish in his hands leads to errant placement (flagged six times for holding in 2025) and catching too
much contact. He is rangy as a run blocker and is improving his finishing toughness. Overall, Iheanachor is still learning how to
refine his talent on a more consistent basis, but his traits (athletic build, balanced quickness, play strength) form an
exciting foundation for a future starting right tackle. He is an ascending player, although he might require a
“redshirt” year — and a patient coaching staff — as he continues to develop.
