Scouting Dossier
PFF
Moore is a smaller edge defender who wins with quickness and pass-rush IQ. His lack of length may limit sack totals, but he can contribute as a rotational 3-4 outside linebacker.
Strengths
● Athletic frame, with broad shoulders, defined quads and long arms
● Closes ground quickly off the ball and looks to accelerate through blockers
● Flashes power in his hands to deliver a pop or pry open blocker’s edges
● Sets up blockers with subtle jab steps before using rip moves to expose leaning
● Will ghost his inside hand and use body dip to wrap the corner
● Physical edge setter — not a selfish player in the run game
● Quiet and reserved by nature — allows his play to do his talking
● Backfield production increased each season (21 career sacks ranks as eighth most in school history)

Weaknesses
● Tends to play high and has some stiffness in his frame
● Average body control and violence for quick sheds once engaged
● Can do a better job maximizing length when leveraging the edge as a run defender
● Inconsistent reading play development; needs to better stay ahead of the action
● Not going to give much dropping in space
● Would like to see same urgency on every snap
● Limited at the NFL combine by hamstring injury; missed one game as a junior because of left knee sprain (Oct. 2024)
Projection
A two-year starter at Michigan, Moore played field defensive end (mostly stand-up) in former defensive coordinator Wink Martindale’s
four-man front. His impact and production increased each season, and he led the Wolverines in tackles for loss (10.5), sacks (10) and
forced fumbles (two) as a senior. While part of a heavy rotation (averaged 36.7 defensive snaps per game), he was one of the FBS’ most
efficient pass rushers in 2025 — he registered a pressure on 17.5 percent of his pass-rush snaps (No. 1 in the Big Ten, No. 17 in the FBS).
With his size and traits, Moore has been gradually ascending over the past four seasons. As a pass rusher, he gains ground quickly out of
his stance, with the momentum and length to be effective converting speed to power. He understands when to counter in his rush but
has some tightness turning the arc and needs to patch together a better overall rush plan (aside from his power profile). He is unselfish
as an edge-setting presence to keep the ball contained, although I’d like to see him be more of a playmaker in the run game. Overall,
Moore is a well-rounded player with a feel for what he’s doing in both the run game and as a pass rusher. I like his
floor more than his ceiling, but the tools are there for him to become an NFL starter.
