- He added a few FBS offers, including from Georgia State, New Mexico and New Mexico State, but he elected to stay in his home state and committed to Southeastern Louisiana.
Scouting Dossier
PFF
Strengths
● Good-sized athlete, with upfield quickness and lateral agility
● Flashes gap-shooting burst to win with first step
● Uses a variety of arm-over and push-pull maneuvers
● Ankle flexion helps him leverage the point and stay balanced working off contact
● Eyes of a linebacker to quickly locate and find pursuit angles
● Awesome open-field acceleration to the ball
● Relentless motor, with an alpha play personality
● NFL scouts say he was “hardest worker” and “best-conditioned player” on the team (hardly any bad weight on his frame)
● Team-first culture guy; described as a “special leader and human” by Southeastern Louisiana head coach Frank Scelfo (who
previously coached with the Jaguars)
● Backfield production increased each season
Weaknesses
● Lean, high-cut frame — must continue to add/maintain mass
● Base narrows through engagement, and run anchor starts to weaken
● Inconsistent leveraging run lanes, and can be walled off
● Too many “almost” tackles on 2025 tape
● Double teams will remove him from play
● Gets off the line too high, which saps his bull-rush power
● Finds himself wide and out of control at times on loops
● Doesn’t have ideal experience against top-level competition
Projection
A three-year starter at Southeastern Louisiana, Proctor lined up primarily as a three-technique in defensive coordinator Bill D’Ottavio’s
scheme. A high school linebacker, he moved to the defensive line in college, and his impact and production improved each season. He
also passed up lucrative NIL offers at Power 4 programs along the way. As a senior, he became the first defensive player in school
history to be named conference player of the year and just the fifth player in school history to earn an NFL combine invite.
With his undersized frame and FCS background, Proctor heads to the NFL with plenty of doubters. But he didn’t look out of place on his
2025 LSU tape or during combine week (20.95 mph on-field speed, fastest among all defensive tackles in Indianapolis). His issues
versus power show on down blocks, but he has disruptive feet with the eyes and pursuit skills of a former linebacker. Overall, Proctor
lacks ideal girth and will need to prove himself versus NFL size, but his athletic traits, passionate motor and elite
intangibles are qualities NFL teams should want in their organization. Similar in ways to Kobie Turner, he is worth a
Day 3 gamble.
