Scouting Dossier

PFF
Strengths
● Gigantic frame, with above-average length and lean mass ● Mean dude — won’t hesitate to grind defenders to the ground when he can ● Improved strain effort to create torque and move defenders on angle-drive blocks 232 Back to table of contents -- 236 of 629 -- ● Better movements than expected for his size, with range to climb to linebacker level ● Functional initial quickness to cut off backside on outside zone ● Adequate kick-slide depth in pass pro ● Flashes violence in extension to halt rushers, when he connects ● Pass-blocking awareness went from marginal to serviceable (and shows glimpses of becoming a strength) ● Offers experience at both left and right tackle
Weaknesses
● Feet can get stale and cumbersome out in space ● High hipped — not easy to sink and drop anchor vs. rushers attacking his middle ● Mediocre change-of-direction to answer rushers across his face ● Has trouble resetting his base and hands once he falls behind ● Overly reliant on size to move bodies in run game ● Elusive space defenders can avoid his climbs ● Missed final two games of senior season because of lower-body injury (Nov. 2025)
Projection
A one-year starter at Memphis (and four-year starter overall), Burke lined up at right tackle in former offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey’s zone-heavy scheme. A late bloomer physically, he started out at Gardner-Webb, followed by stops at Florida International and then Memphis for his final season. He was considered a “low money” free agent prospect over the summer by NFL scouts, but he changed that outlook with his performance in 2025. Equally effective as a run blocker or pass protector, Burke is quick out of his stance on zone concepts to execute frontside and backside. He uses his length on kickouts and has functional athleticism, although his consistency declines as space expands. Despite playing with taller pads and average contact balance, he blocks with intense force in the run game to widen lanes. Overall, Burke is a towering tackle prospect with predictable leverage issues, but he also has solid movement ability and a nasty disposition that will endear him to pro coaches. He has tools worth drafting in the mid-rounds, to be a swing tackle and potential starter.
