Scouting Dossier

Strengths
● Tall, long frame, with thick quads and adequate definition in his upper body
● Blocking is his comfort zone
● Practices sound technique to stay square and seal down blocks
● Physical hands at contact, with a competitive mentality to finish after the whistle
● Will clothesline or run over anyone in his way as a lead blocker
● Smooth lateral mover to cut off and mirror pass-rush angles
● Hands catcher — didn’t put any drops on tape
● Unfazed by catch-point traffic
● Footwork for sharp angle cuts at the top of routes
● OSU coaches describe him as a “tireless worker” who changed the culture of the tight end room
Weaknesses
● Can rumble down the seam but will have trouble running away from anyone (saw only three targets of 20-plus yards, although he
caught them all)
● Mediocre stop-start ability, which limits his chances of sinking and breaking away
● Finishes with his pads as a runner but not a tackle-breaker or YAC threat
● Only one red zone touchdown catch in two seasons with the Buckeyes
● Rides contact but can do a better job reestablishing leverage throughout the rep
● Missed four games during 2024 regular season after suffering left arm injury (Sept. 2024)

Projection
A one-and-a-half-year starter at Ohio State (and two-and-a-half-year starter overall), Kacmarek lined up primarily inline (77.3 percent
of snaps in 2025) and complemented Max Klare in head coach Ryan Day’s offense. Ohio State operated out of multi-tight-end sets at the
second-highest rate (48.9 percent) in the FBS in 2025. The Ohio transfer was the most underrated addition to the Buckeyes’
national-title-winning team in 2024, and his role expanded even further in his senior year.
Kacmarek developed his physical mentality while playing lacrosse, and it directly translates to his blocking. He balances proper
technique with creating violent collisions and looking to punish opponents using his competitive edge. He saw just 27 targets in two
seasons at Ohio State, but those looks resulted in 23 catches (and zero drops). He has terrific ball skills, although he won’t create easy
separation out of breaks. Overall, Kacmarek is a big, linear athlete with strong hands and the desired level of aggression
as a point-of-attack blocker. He projects as a Y tight end and can be one of the better blockers in the draft class.
