Scouting Dossier

Strengths
● Tall athlete with adequate straight-line speed
● Works downhill to work off blocks, square and throw his body into contact
● Excellent physicality and mechanics as a tackler, both in the box and out in space
● Anticipates well from different alignments to break on the ball with timing
● Able to man-up and keep balance against tight ends in coverage
● Looks natural making plays on the ball (led FCS with eight interceptions in 2023)
● Also led FCS with 239 interception return yards in 2023 (101 more than No. 2 on the list)
● His elite preparation carries over to game days (NFL scout: “He’s already a pro.”)
Weaknesses
● Lean in upper body and lacks ideal mass
● Mediocre fluidity, which hinders overall range as deep-half player
● Narrow, upright transitions and loses track of slot receivers
● Zero interceptions at the FBS level in 2025
● Can be more consistent coming to balance on the move as a tackler
● Average closing juice as depth blitzer
● Broken left foot, which required surgery (April 2024); recovery setback required another surgery (August 2024), which sidelined
him for the entire 2024 season; torn Achilles during offseason workouts and missed the first seven games of the 2022 season
Projection
A one-year starter at Texas Tech (and two-year starter overall), Wisniewski was the free safety in defensive coordinator Shiel Wood’s
4-2-5 base scheme. A former linebacker at North Dakota State, he moved to safety for the Bison in 2023 and became an FCS
All-American, posting a school-record eight interceptions. After missing the 2024 season because of a broken foot, he transferred to
Texas Tech and was part of a defense that carried the Red Raiders to the 2025 Big 12 championship and the College Football Playoff.
Wisniewski is a passionate football player — a theme all over his tape. He competes with outstanding toughness and adequate
athleticism in both phases. Despite some range limitations, he takes sound angles in coverage, and he collected eight interceptions in
college (ironically, all eight came in the same season). Overall, Wisniewski is tightly wound as an athlete and at his best near
the line of scrimmage, where he can use his short-area instincts and reliable tackling. Providing depth in the box and
impacting special teams are his tickets to a pro career.
