Scouting Dossier

Strengths
● Well-defined muscle, with adequate arm length
● Learned how to take care of his body and develop bulk (weighed just 192 pounds when he enrolled)
● Decent range, with straight-line acceleration from point A to B
● Locates climbers quickly to get the drop and avoid them
● Aggressive tackler — put some loud smacks on tape
● Found more creative pathways to the ball, which led to improved tackle production
● Improved cover awareness, especially in zone, where he can crowd targets
● Consistent energy and work ethic, according to a team source
● Quality experience, both as a starter and on punt coverages
Weaknesses
● Sticks to blocks once he makes contact; lacks explosive shed ability
● Can be engulfed by bigger blockers when his hands are mistimed
● Tight in core and can get worked in space by shifty ball carriers

-- 503 of 629 --
● Adequate feel for play development but room for improvement
● Man-cover range more average than above average
● Rigid in lower half when attempting to make sharp adjustments in coverage
● Poor ball production — just three passes defended in 41 starts
Projection
A three-year starter at Miami, Bissainthe played the Mike linebacker position in defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman’s 4-2-5 base
scheme. Bissainthe found the field quickly in Coral Gables and showed improved communication under Hetherman as a senior, helping
the Hurricanes to the national championship game.
With a fully charged motor, Bissainthe consistently swarms to the football. He spends too much time attached to blockers when he runs
into contact in the box, but he shines on the edges, where he can track, drive and finish. He has adequate feel in coverage, although stiff
movements keep him from making consistent plays on the football. Overall, Bissainthe lacks a true differentiating trait, but he
offers solid height/weight/speed and play recognition. Special teams will be a realistic entry point to his pro career.
