Scouting Dossier
PFF
Strengths
● Compactly built with thickness in his chest, arms and lower half
● Explosive for a 210-pounder, with athleticism that can be schemed in different ways
● Functional strength matches his running-back build (7.3 yards per carry, five rushing touchdowns)
● Tough-minded finisher as a ball carrier — gives as good as he gets
144 Back to table of contents
-- 148 of 629 --
● At his best on slants, glances and hitches
● Battles at the catch point and doesn’t get pushed around
● Quick to transition to a runner and shows RAC instincts
● Loves ball; NFL scouts say he works as hard as he plays
● Durable — played in 56 games the past four seasons
Weaknesses
● Inefficient footwork at the top of routes and takes too long to gather
● Lacks down-the-field value from the slot or perimeter
● Tracks the ball well but has more double catches and drops than you’d want
● Inconsistent jump-ball player, with only average catch radius
● Expected to see more broken tackles on his film
● Feast or famine blocker — looks outstanding one rep, below average the next
● Disappointing statistical output in his final season
● Part-time kick returner in 2023, but lackluster overall background on special teams
Projection
A starter for three-and-a-half years at Georgia, Bell lined up primarily out wide (86.4 percent of his career snaps) in offensive
coordinator Mike Bobo’s scheme. He played the X position as an underclassman before moving to Z as a senior, and he also saw snaps
at F and as a running back. His production gradually increased early in his career, which was expected to continue as a senior, but he
managed just 19.1 receiving yards per game in 2025.
A well-built athlete, Bell plays with a combination of play strength and short-area burst that shows with and without the ball. He surges
after the catch, with powerful strides to fight through contact. Though he has experience across the formation, his lack of route-running
nuance limits the ways you can get him the football, and he is unproven as a downfield threat (30 targets of 20-plus yards in his career
but just seven catches). Overall, Bell calls himself a “positionless player,” which is both intriguing and concerning for
his projection. He needs to land in the right situation, with an NFL staff that sees his value as a catch-and-go weapon.
