Scouting Dossier

PFF
Strengths
● Compact frame, with passable body length ● Moves well off the snap and has quickness to cut off laterally ● Adequate foot athlete and stays on time with zone angles ● Uses mobility to work up levels and seal alleys ● Fits his hands inside and tries to drive his feet ● Uses knee bend and ready hands to set up shop in pass pro ● Really smart — often gets his teammates in position ● Pro’s pro; NFL scouts say he worked to establish quality chemistry with Miami QB Carson Beck ● Durable — didn’t miss time because of injury either of past two seasons
Weaknesses
● Average body density and lacks sand in lower half ● Can be overpowered by size and longer-armed defenders ● Heavy contact will jar him off balance and quickly weaken his base ● Inconsistent recovery skills versus skilled rushers ● Not a people-mover in run game; limited leg drive ● Rangy player but needs to find his balance better to finish open-field defenders ● 100 percent of 1,882 offensive snaps came at center ● Broken right ankle (Nov. 2020) as a senior, which ended his high school career
Projection
A one-year starter at Miami (and two-year starter overall), Brockermeyer started every game at center (right-handed snapper) in offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson’s balanced scheme. After struggling to crack the starting lineup at Alabama, he started for TCU in 2024 before becoming an underrated part of the Hurricanes’ run to the national championship game (he didn’t allow a sack in 2025). Miami’s offensive line was a key reason for the team’s success in 2025, though most casual college football fans couldn’t name the center — which Brockermeyer should take as a compliment, because it speaks to his steady play. He isn’t the biggest, strongest or most athletic lineman, but he is good enough in all three areas and has the fortitude to establish contact and stay attached. Overall, Brockermeyer has a smaller margin of error because of the limited ways he can recover, but his intelligence and compete skills give him a fighting chance. He will challenge for a backup role in training camp.
