Scouting Dossier

PFF
Projection
Caullin Lacy, the middle of three boys in his family, was born and raised in Mobile, Ala., by his parents (Quincy and Shanta). He was a standout basketball and track athlete at Faith Academy and a do-everything performer on the football field (1,842 rushing yards as an all-state senior). A three-star recruit, Lacy stayed close to home and signed with South Alabama as a wide receiver. He took advantage of the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 pandemic year and transferred to Louisville (to play the Rondale Moore role in Jeff Brohm’s offense). He redshirted in 2024 after having collarbone surgery but earned All-ACC honors in 2025. Lacy’s production primarily came underneath, with some deep balls but almost nothing in the intermediate part of the field. He has the route-running quickness to separate at all three levels and juice as a ball carrier. His best value, however, is what he offers in the return game — he had four special teams touchdowns in college. Overall, Lacy is undersized with average production (never hit 100 yards receiving in any of his 18 games at Louisville), but he has the vision and acceleration to be dangerous with the ball in his hands.
