He lulled Clemson tackle Tristan Leigh before spinning inside for a third-quarter sack of Virginia Tech quarterback Kyron Drones -- the kind of pass-rush nuance teams target in the later rounds.

Scouting Dossier

PFF
Projection
Tristan Leigh, who has two siblings, grew up in Fairfax, Va. His father (Stan Leigh) played running back at Virginia (1990-94); his mother (Laura Rigney), who has multiple sclerosis, is an administrator at a dialysis center and part-time family nurse practitioner. Leigh grew up playing basketball and soccer until his mother finally allowed him to commit to football in seventh grade (his father helped coach his team). He attended Robinson Secondary School, where his football career took off — he was a three-year starter on varsity and twice earned all-state honors at left tackle. A five-star recruit, he was a consensus top-20 recruit nationally and could have attended almost any college he wanted. Ultimately, he chose Clemson (over Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma) and became a three-year starter at left tackle. Leigh has NFL size, with his broad shoulders, thick lower body and long arms. He has adequate quickness off the ball and in space to answer pass rushers, although his hand placement needs to be more consistent. He isn’t a mauler in the run game, and his balance tends to be inconsistent through contact, but he can cover up to get the job done. NFL scouts speak highly of his leadership and the pro mindset he brings to maximize his talent. Overall, Leigh needs added technical refinement, but he utilizes quality angles in pass protection to cut off rush angles, and he leans on defenders in the run game. He is a potential depth piece for an NFL offensive line room.
