● Displays initial quickness but lacks ideal lateral range ● Inconsistent recovery skills vs. inside burst once he gets momentum going outside ● Unsettled technique zaps ability to anchor (more strong than powerful) ● Waist bender, which can keep him from locking up defenders on the move ● Sloppy habits lead to attention from officials (17 penalties over final 23 games) ● Missed final 10 games of redshirt freshman season because of injury (Sept. 2022); tore ACL, PCL and MCL in right knee (Nov. 2019), which sidelined him for high school senior season in 2020.

A two-year starter at Memphis (and three-year starter overall), Adams lined up at left tackle in former offensive coordinator Tim Cramsey’s zone-heavy scheme. He battled injuries late in high school and early in college before getting back on track. After a transfer to Memphis, he announced himself as a legitimate NFL prospect as a junior in 2024, although he struggled with consistency on his senior tape. Adams squares up rushers at proper depth in pass protection, but his anchor is shaky versus power, and his reactions become unglued vs. rushers who know what they are doing. Though his lunging also becomes an issue in the run game, he executes with physicality when he stays connected to steer his man. Overall, Adams has functional size, aggression and movement ability for the next level, but his lack of control currently limits his football ceiling. He is a developmental prospect who could become a swing tackle after paying his dues on the practice squad.
