Scouting Dossier

PFF
Projection
Jeadyn (JAY-den) Lukus grew up in Mauldin, S.C., with his parents (Mike and Sonya Lukus). He played rec football as a kid (coached by his father), primarily as a quarterback. He made the move to cornerback and wide receiver as a sophomore at Mauldin High School, and he totaled four interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) in his varsity career. A five-star recruit, Lukus collected dozens of high-profile offers before committing to Clemson (over North Carolina and Ohio State). Surgeries to both shoulders and a hip injury derailed his freshman and sophomore seasons, but he became a starter as a junior and then a part-time contributor as a senior in 2025. Lukus is a good-sized athlete, with outstanding length and adequate bulk to match up against physical receivers on the outside. His strength also shows in the run game, where he is a sound, dependable tackler. Despite being a slightly high-cut athlete, he does a nice job adjusting on the fly to mirror routes and has the long speed to stay within arm’s length. However, he doesn’t appear to trust his technique and needs to play with better competitive confidence, both in man coverage and zone. Overall, Lukus never lived up to his five-star status at Clemson, but his pro-day testing was a reminder of an impressive athletic profile that will earn him a chance to stick in an NFL camp.
