Scouting Dossier
PFF
Strengths
● Adequate frame, bulk and hand size
● Good arm strength to attack all three levels of the field
● Can make opposite-hash throw with zip
● Strong football intelligence; reads route concepts quickly
● Stands tough in pocket and delivers under duress
● Adequate ball placement on downfield throws
● No questions about his toughness — you must protect him from himself at times
● Impressive leader who quickly earned respect at WKU (NFL scout: “Genuinely loves football. … He’s the type that pulls guys aside
and leads them.”)
Weaknesses
● Average athlete, with marginal ability as a ball carrier
● Too willing to test range of middle-field safeties — downfield aggression can backfire
● Predetermines throws, which leads to ill-advised decisions (see 2025 FIU tape)
● Injuries have been a major factor: torn ACL and meniscus in right knee (Sept. 2018), which caused him to miss remainder of his
senior year of high school; foot injury (Aug. 2019), suffered during fall camp at Texas Tech and required surgery; missed six games
over second half of his final season because of left shoulder injury (Oct. 2025)
● Older prospect — will be a 26-year-old rookie
Projection
A one-year starter at Western Kentucky (and four-year starter overall), McIvor was a shotgun QB in offensive coordinator Rick Bowie’s
pass-heavy scheme. Once part of the same recruiting class as Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels, he was well-traveled — but consistently
productive, when healthy — over his college career. His senior season went sideways because of a shoulder injury, but he came off the
bench in the bowl game and rallied WKU to victory, winning game MVP honors.
With quick reads and an equally quick release, McIvor put full-field progressions on tape and showed the ability to get to the backside
dig. He works well vertically and has a good success rate on throws of 20-plus yards (especially deep fades). He is too willing to throw
into expiring, congested windows and needs to shed that passing stubbornness. Overall, McIvor is an aggressive passer and puts

the ball in harm’s way at times, but that gunslinger mentality led to more-promising reps on tape. He projects as a
camp arm who could be more, if the right situation gives him a chance.
